The present study, with the aim of formulating the components of spiritual health in spousal affective relationships and examining their validity, was conducted relying on the qualitative content analysis method Bengtsson. The textual population of the study included the Holy Qur'an and all hadiths transmitted in the book Mizan al-Hikma, which at the first step were selected through purposeful sampling and based on the principle of Saturation, yielding 457 documents and then, after screening according to full conceptual relevance, 134 documents were chosen for final analysis. The selected texts were analyzed in four stages of Decontextualisation, Recontextualisation, Categorisation, and The Compilation. In order to achieve the reliability of the results from the Islamic sources using the criteria of Lincoln, & Guba, the four criteria of "Credibility", "Confirmability", "Transferability", and "Dependability" were examined. To obtain the "Dependability" criterion, 10 experts were asked to evaluate the findings derived from the Islamic sources by calculating the "Content Validity Index" (CVI) in three stages. The findings of the study showed that the components of spiritual health in spousal affective relationships comprise 32 subcategories, 2 categories (strengthening the bond and emotional closeness; patience and prevention of tension) and 1 core theme. The results of this study have provided an appropriate basis for developing a scale of spiritual health in couples' relationships, educational packages, and its therapeutic protocol.
